The story behind Fernando Varela begins and ends with a voice. An operatic and classical crossover tenor voice that the press is constantly comparing to some of the world’s greatest. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Varela moved to Florida as a child, but it wasn’t until he was an adult that he found his voice and was discovered by producer and pianist David Foster. He has studied under Metropolitan Opera’s Assistant Director, Joan Dornemann and mentored by Mme. Licia Albanese, as well as by Maestro Giancarlo Chiaramello, conductor for Luciano Pavarotti. Come hear his spectacular voice in his only South Florida concert!
