South Florida Pride Youth Band Season 16

South Florida Pride Youth Band Season 16, presented by FLoatarama, brings together high school students from across the tri-county area to perform alongside members of the South Florida Pride Concert Band—demonstrating the bridgebuilding power of music in our community. These students have been rehearsing for the past month and will perform under the direction of Ron Castonguay, accomplished musician, composer, conductor and Director of the Arts at The Frederick Gunn School.

The South Florida Pride Youth Jazz Band will once again be led by Mr. Edgar Rubio, and one outstanding musician will receive the FLoatarama Jazz Band Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. Additionally, ten or more $1,500 college scholarships will be awarded to members of the Pride Youth Band. One exceptional student will receive a $7,500 scholarship through the 5th Annual FLoatarama Soloist Competition and will be featured as a soloist with the South Florida Pride Concert Band in May 2027.
