South Florida Pride Wind Ensemble: Youth Pride Band Season 9

This concert will include over 90 band students from Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties who have been accepted via an application process into the Youth Pride Band of South Florida. The first half of the concert will feature the Youth Pride Band. For second half of the concert they will join forces with the Pride Wind Ensemble as a mass band of over 120 players. This very special concert will be at the historic The Parker. At least ten $1000 college scholarships will be awarded to worthy participants.

Guest conductor, Brian Worsdale, music director of The Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will conduct pieces by the dynamic young composer, Michael Markowski. Mr. Markowski will give commentary on each of his selections during the concert.
